Marquis Who's Who in America® Included In National Millennium Time Capsule

New Providence, N.J. - January 19, 2001 - When the National Millennium Time Capsule is closed by the National Archives and Records Administration on Sunday and preserved for the next 100 years, the most influential Americans alive today will be chronicled for future generations in the Marquis Who's Who in America® Millennium Edition.

The contents of the time capsule were determined by the White House Millennium Council. The council asked more than 1,300 former presidential and congressional medal winners from diverse fields of accomplishment, as well as students from across the country, to describe what they thought represented America at the end of the 20th century. Among the items selected by the council was the 2000 edition of Marquis Who's Who in America, the leading biographical reference directory in the U.S.
